How often do I need to inject the nasolabial fold?

We take sufficient time for our initial consultation. If you want to have a treatment with us, the consultation is free of charge. However, if you can’t decide right away, we charge a consultation fee of 140 €. But the good news is that we will credit 50 € back to you for a future treatment.

What do you need to consider?

Before treatment:

  • Microneedling is an ideal adjunct for deep wrinkles or fine creases.

  • No active inflammation in the area being treated (e.g.: acne, cold sores). If you are prone to fever blisters, we will prophylactically prescribe you a medication 2 days before.

  • Blood-thinning medications should be paused (Attention: Before doing so, be sure to consult with your family doctor or us).

  • We do not perform hyaluronic acid treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding – at that time there are more important things than individual wrinkles.

After treatment:

  • Cool the affected areas for 5-10 minutes.

  • No excessive sports for at least 2 days.

  • Avoid strong, direct sun exposure as well as tanning beds for a few days.

  • 1 week break for steam bath and sauna visitors.

  • No massages or cosmetic treatments on the face for 10 days.

There is no way around hyaluronic acid in the treatment of nasolabial folds. There are two ways to do this: One is to inject directly under the wrinkle to smooth it out. The other very effective option, aimed at tightening the entire face, is a Liquid Lift with hyaluronic acid. Quasi a face lift without stitches – only with hyaluronic acid. In this procedure, hyaluronic acid deposits are injected at several points on the face so that fine ligaments in the tissue are strengthened. Tapes? Yes, as you learned above, fine ligaments (retaining ligaments) fix your skin to the bone so that as you age, the skin is pulled downward only to certain points on your face. The advantage of this approach: Both the jawline and cheek area are also improved, and as a result, the nasolabial and marionette folds are weakened, making your face look younger overall.

In principle, the nasolabial fold simply says that the skin is aging. It occurs in varying degrees in every person and, even if it is not perceived as beautiful, it is natural. After all, skin and tissue age along with it.

Unlike frown lines and forehead wrinkles, the nasolabial fold belongs to the static facial wrinkles. That is, it is largely independent of your facial expressions and occurs because of the aging process.

Depending on your desired changes, theoretically anywhere. But: it doesn’t make equal sense on all parts of the face, as sometimes there are more effective treatment approaches against wrinkles in certain regions. All in all, hyaluronic acid injections are a safe treatment in the right hands – but even we don’t have Superman X-ray vision to see every tiny blood vessel. As a result, small bruises at the injection site for a short time are extremely rare, but possible.

On average, your wrinkles disappear for 6 months. But you must know: The depth of wrinkles, the hyaluronic acid filler chosen, the desired treatment and also your natural face shape play an important role in the duration of the effect.

This is a hotly debated question. It is important to us to use a safe, fully absorbable filler with pleasant treatment comfort (keyword: local anesthetic effect) and long-lasting effect.
